Gustavo Esquivel Joins FC Wisconsin Staff

FC Wisconsin Nationals is proud to announce the hiring of Gustavo (Goose) Esquivel to head up the Junior Development Program.
Gustavo, known to most as Goose, grew up playing in Milwaukee. Gustavo attended Marquette High School where he was a two year captain, a MVP his senior season, and a two time High School State Championship.

Goose attended Cardinal Stritch University for 3 seasons where he played in 45 games. He demonstrated great leadership abilities at the college level too being named team captain during his sophomore year. Goose earned the Scholar Athlete award every year at Stritch and is currently the student assistant coach.

“We couldn’t be more pleased to get Goose on staff. As a player he was superb technically and demanded that out of his teammates. He will be great with our Junior Development program as he can continue to improve on their technical skills and prepare them for the future programs within FC Wisconsin. Goose’s degree is in education so he will be a great teacher of the game to these kids” said Co-DOC Ben Shepherd.

Goose has worked several clinics around the south side of the city for Hispanic and Latino youth players.
“I’m really excited to be a part of such a great club. I love the club philosophy, the togetherness, and the ability to help shape the foundation of this club by helping teach the younger players the fundamentals of the game,” said Goose.

Please welcome Goose to the FC Wisconsin Nationals Family!
