Former FC Wisconsin USSDA Stand Out, Luke Goodnetter Earns Goal of the Week Honor

Current UW-Milwaukee Panther men's team member and former FC Wisconsin USSDA midfielder, Luke Goodnetter earned Top Drawer Soccer.com's 'Goal of the Week' with an impressive 27 yard full volley into the upper left corner against Valpraiso University on October 12, 2013. The opportunity quite literally fell out of the sky and into the junior's clearly focused sites after a 'teammate's cross was headed "clear"  by a Valparaiso defender. Seizing on the opportunity with picture perfect technique, Goodnetter struck the ball with his left foot over and between a crowd of defenders and teammates in a crowded penalty area. The shot dipped and slipped just under the cross bar and just inside the left post.

As it happens, Goodnetter's younger brother Trey, has been with the club since U12 and is currently a member of the FC Wisconsin USSDA U14 team. Luke's college journey has been one in which has epitomized a passion for the game, coupled with a desire to continue playing at the college level in an environment that suits his playing ability and ambition best.
