The Development Academy is a partnership between U.S. Soccer and the top 80 youth clubs around the country to provide the best youth players in the U.S. with an everyday environment designed to produce the next generation of Collegiate and National Team players. The Academy’s programming philosophy is based on increased training, less total games and more competitive and meaningful games. FC Wisconsin is proud to be the only club in Wisconsin that is sanctioned to have teams competing in the USSDA, with U14, U16, and U18 boys squads.

The FC Wisconsin Nationals “club-based” or “program-based” philosophy is based on long-term athletic development principles. These include providing multiple different coaches for each team and player (all under the same philosophy), frequently moving players between age groups in training and in competition, having a very high training-to-game ratio, and using a training curriculum focused on individual technical and tactical development.
