1.8.16 --For Immediate Release: FC Wisconsin will host the new Professional Soccer franchise the Milwaukee Torrent in an Exhibition match Saturday May 14th 2016.
FC Wisconsin is excited to announce that they will play the Milwaukee Torrent this Spring at the FC Wisconsin Soccer Fields. The Torrent is the newly formed Professional Franchise in Milwaukee that will kick off its inaugural season this spring as they compete in the American Soccer League II (ASL II). The exhibition match will also mark a homecoming for five FC Alums; Luke Goodnetter, Landon Bullock, Stuart Grable, and brother’s AJ Patterson, and Tony Patterson who have all signed professional contracts with the Torrent for the 2016 season.
The Torrent are owned and coached by German native Andreas Davi. “We are really pleased to be able to play an Exhibition against the FC Wisconsin U18 Team,” commented Davi. “FC are one of the top clubs in the Midwest who are continually developing high level players so this will be an excellent game for all the players involved as well as the soccer community in general.”
The game is slated for May 14th with a 6pm kick-off and will be free admission for the general public. “This is a great opportunity for our players to test themselves against the very best players in the area.” Said Co-Director of Coaching Ben Shepherd. “It will also be a special occasion welcoming back our former FC Alums which can only continue to help our players in their learning and development process. We would also like to thank Andi Davi and his organization for providing such a unique opportunity for the club and the players involved.”
