FC Wisconsin Parent Named Volunteer of the Year

FC Wisconsin Parent Named Volunteer of the Year

Every club dreams of having a volunteer like Peggy Flannery! For more than 15 years she has dedicated countless hours to helping FC Wisconsin - the club home for both her daugher (Meghan) and son (Tim).

In addition to managing teams, Peggy organized nearly every club-wide fundraiser. Golf outings, auctions, tournaments, pizza sales, coffee fundraisers – you name it, Peggy’s had a hand in planning it! Through her efforts, she has helped raise thousands of dollars for FC Wisconsin over the years. Her husband Brian often lent a hand as well.

Peggy was nominated by fellow parent and club volunteer, Lisa Leffel. She shares, "Recognition from the WYSA as the 2019 Volunteer of the Year acknowledges the hundreds of Wisconsin youth soccer players Peggy Flannery has impacted through the teams she’s managed and her club-wide fundraising efforts."

Club co-director Ben Shepherd adds, "Peggy's dedication, commitment, and loyalty to FC Wisconsin is unrivaled. Her work on so many volunteer projects over the years has been instrumental in aiding our continued growth. This award is a testament to the effort and time that she has dedicated to the club. On behalf of everyone associated with FC Wisconsin, we cannot thank Peggy enough.”

The WYSA Volunteer of the Year Award will be given to Peggy Flannery at The Edgewater in Madison on March 9, 2019. Congratulations, Peggy! A well-deserved honor for an amazing volunteer.
